Precedent

Precedent was founded on a single conviction: that a small number of well-made things is worth more than a great many. We make six pieces each season. Sometimes fewer.

Every object leaves the workshops of the last true masters in Florence, Paris, Lyon, and Geneva. We do not chase novelty. We do not follow the calendar of the trade. A piece is released when it is finished, and not before.

What we offer is quiet, and it is meant to remain so. A wallet that softens over a decade. A knit that outlives the winter it was bought for. A watch that is passed on.

This is our precedent, and we hope in time it will become yours.
